One of the most important things on a wedding day is the time that the couple gets to spend with their family and friends who have come from all around to share in their union… because of this, I believe that it’s not always appropriate to steal the couple away for too long, so I say hey, let’s go out and play again another day! Get all dressed up again and let’s go to your favorite spot so we can really take the time… so that’s what we did. Julie and Corin were married at San Francisco City Hall on New Year’s Eve Day 2013. My husband Tom and I were fortunate enough to have been the ones to document it. You can see their magical union here.
Ocean Beach in San Francisco holds a lot of meaning to Julie and Corin. Corin is a surfer and spends much time in those waters, and they spend much time together on those sands, so it was only fitting that it was the spot that represents them the most. It was so beautiful observing them, now having been married for a little while. I always thought that getting married wouldn’t really feel all that different, but as both Corin and Julie and I agreed, it really does feel different. There is a new sense of stability and peace that comes with it… a true invisible bond that is only known by the two of you. I am honored to have been able to document these two on their journey together, and hope you all can see that sense of peace in the love they have for one another… it’s truly evident.
Julie and Corin, I love you guys. Thanks for the beautiful experience of capturing the beginning of your lifelong commitment to each other. Super grateful.
