I am not great with words, maybe that is why I’m a photographer because I get to observe and create my art that way – so I sometimes struggle with what to say on my posts, but not today. This is one of those sessions where everything just came together perfectly and felt like it was suppose to be exactly at that time, at that place, and with the weather just as it was. Between a couple of reschedules due to rain, we met at our chosen location only to discover that the weather gods were still being a bit fussy – so we scrapped plan A and went to plan B in hopes of chasing a tad bit better circumstances. At first we were uncertain – the skies appeared formidable and dark and we were up against a heavy mist, but we went for it anyway and I am incredibly glad we did. Photographing Kendra and Michael at this beach in that weather could not have been more beautiful or romantic – the love they have for one another is so deep, one of those easy on the eyes kinds of love, and easy to be around kinds. Their soon to be here daughter will no doubt share in this same kind of love and I’m thrilled to get to photograph the three of them together soon after she makes her debut. As a bonus, I later found out that this particular beach is the one they first went to together, and I have no doubt will be the one they bring their little girl to.
So a huge thank you to you both, Kendra and Michael, for the honor of documenting this time for you! It was so much fun photographing you, and I even had a couple of tears start to flow because I just thought your connection and embraces were so genuine and true. Can’t wait to meet your little girl, you two.
